Solar Friends

We spent a couple weekends ago with our Solar Turbines friends. (where Corey works) Saturday we had the Solar family picnic at Mission Bay:

Luke got a Superman tatoo which he was hesitant about until Mommy got one on her arm also. Kari and I got matching butterflies on our arms-aren't we cute!

We had a couple of the other families over on Sunday for a nice day of swimming, bbq, a little naked sliding, and ice cream.

Swim 2 John

We recently had Luke in survival swim lessons, which I would highly recommend! We went to John at Swim2john.com. The lessons were 10 minutes a day for 10 days...be ready for crying. Totally worth it if you want your child to survive if they fall in a pool! (at least crying at first for most kids...in Luke's case, the entire 10 days!) However, I am much more confident in his abilities in the water and we can always go back in the spring when we start to swim again for a couple of refresher days...

Just a few pics of us swimming the other day- Nathan's first time swimming in our pool! He was quite content the entire time. We finally had to take him out because he was turning into a raisin!
