What I Woke Up To Find on Tuesday...

Tuesday morning Nathan decided to sleep until 7am-yay! Corey usually leaves for work around that time and he turns on the Wiggles for Luke-it is on from 7-7:25. Well, I finish nursing Nate around 7:45 and Luke comes in right afterwards. I had heard a few noises in the playroom, but assumed it was him banging around with the train table...
He walks in, covered in something, and says, "Uh-oh, Mommy, uh-oh!" I go out to my kitchen to see this:

Yep-eggs broken everywhere! They were all over his face (luckily no salmonella signs yet), the floor (only on the tile, luckily), and his clothes! He had apparently taken them out of the fridge and proceeded to stomp on them to break them. Lovely! The stomping part he revealed to Corey when we were talking about it that night. I called Corey right away at work to tell him about it and he said that Luke must have used something to get them out of the fridge because they are too high on the door. I took Luke over to the fridge to see if he could reach that high, and he sure can! He even told me, "Reach. up. high"! (he pauses between words:)) Oh...the joys of a 2 year old-I guess I will have to haul my lazy butt out of bed in the future and nurse Nathan in the playroom from now on-no more laying around for mommy!

From there, I proceed to look at the playroom and this is what I see:

I guess he wanted a little dill dip and carrots to go with his eggs! The entire 2 lb. bag of carrots was all over the room. Luckily he did not spill the dip anywhere-it was uncovered, but still in the bowl! What fun!

Thanks for a good laugh. Sorry it was such a mess for you.

Love the pro. photos you had taken. Had looked at her site the other day and thought I recognized Luke.

goodness, by your title, I was expecting a Poopie tale, not an eggy one! I guess eggs are better than poop! At least, I think they are! Glad you got a pic before you cleaned it up...I like to do the same thing...shows proof of the things I have had to clean up! :)
